We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  About the roleOur Fostering Young Lives Program engages community members through a variety of programs designed to support children and their carers/birth parents to live their best life!As our Support Worker you will possess a multifaceted skill set with varied responsibilities to ensure our service runs effectively. This position supports our Fostering Young Lives Operations Team and our Fostering Young Lives Family Assessment Team, with your time being split between the two.   DutiesSupporting the operations team and family assessment teams you will:Supervise contact between birth parents and children ensuring that contact is safe and appropriate and complete notes regarding contact following the sessionTransporting children in Out of Home Care to and from various appointmentsSupporting the Family Assessors in completion of their kinship assessments, including attending some visits and ensuring that all information is correctly uploaded to the data systemSupporting Family Assessors in relation to their restoration work with birth parents, including supervising/observing family time and following up on administrative tasksProvide administrative support to Casework team with tasks such as minute taking, booking appointments, tracking financial expenses etcExtend support with day-to-day responsibilities of service delivery which could include corresponding with external agencies, passport application, conduct home visits and recording information on the electronic case management systemOur Benefits    We support people to live their best life.
