Full Time contract position until 3 January 2025 Offices based at Loganholme and Capalaba; travel required across both sites$105k - $110k inclusive of Super + Salary Packaging  About the roleFamily and Child Connect services (FaCC) have been established across Queensland to support families who are at risk of entering or re-entering the child protection system. FaCC are local, community-based services that help families to care for and protect their children at home, by connecting them to the right services at the right time. Broadly, the FaCC service will undertake an initial assessment of family strengths and needs, determine an appropriate referral pathway for the family to help them achieve their goals, and follow up with services to ensure successful engagement. Typically, FaCC engage with families on a short-term basis (6 weeks).We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to work across our Beenleigh/Bayside and Logan Family & Child Connect programs working alongside and supporting Child and Family Practitioners to support vulnerable families at risk of entering the child protection system.Your responsibilities Hold a small case load of complex cases.Support Child and Family Practitioners with the management of their cases, including fortnightly case reviews, support at home visits, attendance at networking meetings, and to support resolving challenging situations.Use your expertise to provide advice and assistance to team members in assessments of risk, safety planning and trauma informed decision-making for vulnerable children and their families.Support the Team Leader with program and process development, review, and implementation.Deliver and facilitate professional development and training to the team.As a senior worker, you will play an important role in fostering and supporting a positive, collaborative and outcome focused team culture.Our Benefits   We support people to live their best life.
