Workplace Trainer, Early Childhood Early Intervention

Be part of the roll out of the NDIS Partners in the Community – Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) - providing important support to families of children (0 – 6 years) with a disability or developmental delay in South East Queensland.To support the establishment and growth of this new program, we require a Workplace Trainer.About the programThe ECEI program is funded by the NDIA, and, in line with evidence-based best practice, is designed to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports for children with developmental delay or disability. It focuses on family-centred practices delivered in a child’s natural setting, such as in the family context, preschools and playgroups. This approach supports greater inclusion for children by building on family strengths and growing the capacity and awareness of mainstream and community services to support children with developmental delay or disability.The Benevolent Society has been chosen as a NDIS Partner in the Community to deliver ECEI across Brisbane North/South, Beenleigh/ Logan (including Redlands), and Caboolture/ Strathpine.About the role:During the establishment and implementation phase of the ECEI program, the Workplace Trainer role will play a critical role in training the new teams in NDIS systems and processes.You will play a key role in ensuring the new teams have necessary knowledge and training required to ensure quality implementation of the program and excellence in service delivery to children and families.In the implementation phase you will work closely with the Program Manager, Project & Implementation Lead, NDIA and Head Office Business Partners to ensure service delivery can commence from early July 2018.On an ongoing basis you will partner with key stakeholders to assess skills gaps and future needs. Drawing on your practice experience, you will plan, design and implement tailored learning solutions to future proof our workforce.Terms: Full time ongoing role available at Milton initially. Location negotiable – options include Brisbane North,Acacia Ridge, Beenleigh/ Logan later in 2018.What you need to succeed?Certificate IV in Training & Assessment5 – 8 years demonstrated experience working within Learning and Development or related workplace training roles.Experience with blended modes of learning design and deliveryEngaging presentation style tailored to diverse audience, from frontline staff to management (health & community services sector specific experience is highly desirable)Knowledge and demonstrated application of adult learning theory in past practiceKnowledge and demonstrated application of organisational learning problem analysisProject management experience and application of project management methodologies in a learning contextDown to earth, agile nature to adapt to a constantly changing environment while delivering outcomesDemonstrated experience in at least one, and preferably more than one of the key areas of our business – Ageing, Disability, and/or Child & Family servicesCapacity to travel to deliver training to our colleagues in other sitesApply below to join our team and be there when that moment comes.For a confidential discussion about this opportunity we would encourage you to contact Kathy Mair on 0428 367 403.
