Accounts Officer

We are a non-religious, not for profit organisation at the forefront of societal change for over 200 years. Our finance team is a large enough function to be able to offer you growth and development across the financial and management accounting spheres, and we focus on developing our people from within, through a variety of projects and other learning experiences.About the role:The primary function of this role is to ensure that our clients are billed accurately and in a timely and effective manner applying high level customer service skills, and also to assist in month end processes. You will:Provide a high level of professional customer service when addressing client enquiries, replying in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.Ensure all receipts are processed, raise invoices where necessary, processing donations and bequeaths and investigating unmatched receipts.Undertake monthly internal audits of the accounts receivables module in our reporting system.Assist with end of month and end of year closure of accounts.Have the opportunity to work on other financial projects in the broader team.Build effective relationships, engaging with a range of clients and stakeholders on financial and accounts matters. Why this opportunity?Make your mark in this position with a dynamic accounts team.Work in a fast paced, energetic environment with plenty of on the job learning opportunities.Enjoy salary packaging, discounts on everyday purchases, ability to purchase additional leave and more! What you need to succeed?2+ years’ experience in an accounts receivable environment.Ability to manage complex systems and processes.Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills; competent at juggling workload.Ambitious yet down to earth, agile nature to adapt to a constantly changing environment while delivering outcomes.Client centric focus to ensure that our clients is afforded the best service from a billing perspective.Excellent written and verbal skills to deal with client queries in a professional manner.Potentially a recent accounting graduate with less than 2 years post grad experience.Interested?
